Background:

Carter joined our firm in 2006, and focuses his practice on the areas of Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation.

Before joining our firm, Carter worked as an Assistant Attorney General representing the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I). He gained valuable experience in this position litigating industrial insurance claims before the Board of Industrial Appeals, and in Superior Court.

Carter was a certified law clerk and acted as the Deputy City Prosecutor for the City of Albany, Oregon. In this position, Carter tried numerous jury trials and bench trials, and obtained multiple verdicts favorable to the City of Albany. Carter also acted as an extern for The Honorable John Jelderks, United States Magistrate Judge, District of Oregon, and clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon.

Community:

Carter was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Thurston County Bar Association and Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. In his spare time, Carter competes in bicycle races and manages a local bicycle racing team.
