June 18, 2013

We are pleased to announce that Chris Meserve and Avelin Tacon were again selected as "Super Lawyers" by Washington Law and Politics for 2013, and Carter Hick was again selected as a "Rising Star" for 2013. We are also pleased to announce that Nathan Kortokrax was selected for the first time as a "Rising Star" in 2013. "Super Lawyers" is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. To be eligible for selection as a "Rising Star", a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in the practice of law for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of the lawyers that meet the criteria are actually selected as Rising Stars.

"Connolly's Crew" raises record amount at their Blarney Blast

March 15, 2013

On Friday, March 15th, "Connolly's Crew" held their fourth annual Blarney Blast. Centering around St. Patrick's Day, the Blarney Blast began as a support to CTM senior partner, Jim Connolly, during his battle with cancer in 2010. The Blast continues on in his memory, as the team honors him through their passion to fund the cure for cancer. Nearly 200 people joined the team at Indian Summer, raising a record $33,500 for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. "Connolly's Crew", through Connolly Tacon & Meserve, has set an ambitious goal of raising $60,000 this year for valuable cancer research, patient support, advocacy and education. As a community fundraising leader in Thurston County as well as across the nation (#37 last year, out of more than 250,000 teams!), Connolly Tacon & Meserve is proud to be part of the movement against cancer to finish the fight once and for all. For more information about the team and to follow the Crew's progress, please visit their website: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/CTM2013

CTM was a table sponsor for the CYS 11th Annual Have a Heart for Kids Breakfast, held on Friday, February 22, 2013. CTM’s sponsorship helped underwrite the cost of the event so that every dollar raised went to support the CYS programs. CYS was founded in 1970.  Its mission is to empower at-risk youth and their families by providing a continuum of individualized services and advocacy.  CYS envisions a community where every child grows up in a supportive home and achieves his or her full potential for personal growth.
