Sprouffske appointed as Rotary Assistant Governor

Jonathan Sprouffske has been appointed to replace Tom Carroll as Assistant Governor for Area 13, effective July 1, 2015. Jonathan currently is serving as President of Gateway Rotary, and will concurrently serve as AG-Designate over the next six months. He will start attending District Council meetings and will work on the PETS staff, assisting the Area 13 Presidents-Elect as they prepare for their terms. Area 13 covers all of the clubs in Eastern Thurston County.

Hick Appointed to Bigelow House Museum Board

The Daniel Bigelow House is an Olympia institution, and was the site of our 2012 holiday card photo. Carter Hick was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Bigelow House Museum, which merged with the Olympia Historical Society in 2013. Fellow attorneys on the Bigelow House Museum Board include Don Law, former Justice Gerry Alexander, Charles Roe and Shirley Battan. For more about the Bigelow House Museum, click here.

Kevin Meserve Joins Firm

Newly admitted lawyer Kevin Meserve joined the firm on September 1, 2014. A graduate of Ripon College and Willamette University School of Law, Kevin is the son of Christina Meserve and Charles Szurszewski. Kevin was born and raised in Olympia, graduated from Capital High School, and will follow the family tradition of practicing family law.

Szurszewski Appointed to Child Support Schedule Workgroup

Governor Jay Inslee has appointed Chuck Szurszewski to The Child Support Schedule Workgroup. It is a four year commitment that will entail an exhaustive look at the current and future way in which child support is calculated and set in Washington courts.
