Perlman Presents at Guardian ad Litem Training 2nd Pilot in Spokane County

After her years of work on the executive committee with the Administrative Offices of the Court, National Council on Juvenile and Family Court Judges, Battered Women’s Justice Project, local and national stakeholders, and other experts, Amy Perlman helped create the Washington State Guardian ad Litem training curriculum after a statewide initiative to improve Guardian ad Litem and judicial officer training so that outcomes for families could be safe, healing, fair, and sustainable.

The pilot training occurred over three days in Thurston County in March 2018 and the 2nd Pilot occurred in Spokane County on November 5 – 8, 2018 where Amy co-presented on Washington Courts: A Survey of the System, What it Means to be a GAL, Scope of the GAL Appointment, Understanding the Pleadings, Framing the Issues and Making a Plan for Gathering Information, Obtaining Information, Synthesis and Analysis, and Report Writing.
