Except in cases where the liability is admitted and the injury is minor, it is usually beneficial to retain an attorney to deal with insurance claims. Insurance companies are for-profit corporations, and the more money paid out in claims, the less profitable they are. Even though many insurance adjusters are genuinely nice people, it is only common sense to recognize that they try to pay out as little money as possible. Virtually all insurance adjusters will say that their goal is to reach a "fair settlement," but their job is to minimize the payout to claimants. Adjusters know the system and are trained to discourage claimants from seeking legal assistance. Studies show that represented claimants receive an average of two to three times more compensation than those who are unrepresented. In addition to the economic benefits of retaining a lawyer, the client no longer has to deal with the insurance company adjusters and can focus on more important things (like family and recovery).

Personal Injury Fees:

We generally accept these cases on a contingency basis, meaning no attorney fees are incurred unless there is a recovery. However, we will discuss billing our services at an hourly rate if the client prefers that arrangement.
