Social Security Disability Overview
It has been statistically established that claimants who
are represented by attorneys are more successful than
those who represent themselves.
Social Security law is complex, being governed by
Federal statutes, Federal regulations, Social Security
rulings and appellate case interpretations. Avelin P.
Tacon III is the attorney in our office who handles
claims for Social Security disability. He has been
working in this area since the late 1970's and is a
long-time member of the National Organization of Social

Social Security Disability Fees:
Attorney fees in Social Security cases are generally
contingent, based upon a percentage of past due benefits
